The Bumdra Trek is Bhutan's best-kept secret — a short two-day hike that delivers a high-altitude camping experience and one of the most unusual ways to visit Tiger's Nest Monastery. Instead of climbing to the famous monastery from the valley floor, you approach from above. Camp on a ridge at 3,800 meters, watch sunrise over the Paro Valley, then descend through remote monasteries directly onto the golden roofs of Tiger's Nest from the back side.

Six days take you from Thimphu's cultural sites and the towering Buddha Dordenma to the high-altitude glamping experience at Bumdra and the iconic Taktsang Monastery. Conclude with a drive to Chele La Pass at 3,988 meters for views of Mount Jomolhari, followed by a final visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples.
