The Paro Tshechu is one of the most celebrated festivals in Bhutan, drawing locals from across the kingdom to the historic courtyards of Rinpung Dzong for several days of sacred mask dances and the rare dawn unveiling of the Guru Thongdrel. This eight-day Paro Tshechu luxury tour is timed entirely around the festival and combines reserved festival viewing with private cultural exploration of Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro.

Begin in Thimphu with the Buddha Dordenma and the National Institute for 13 Arts and Crafts. Cross the Dochula Pass into the subtropical Punakha Valley to visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong. Hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, before returning to Paro for two full festival days at Rinpung Dzong, including the early-morning Thongdrel unveiling. Conclude with the back-door pilgrimage to Tiger's Nest Monastery and a farewell dinner with traditional music.
