Thirteen days riding 2,450 kilometers from Lhasa to Mount Everest North Face, sacred Lake Manasarovar, Mount Kailash, and across the Himalayas to the Gyirong border with onward private transfer to Kathmandu. The only motorcycle tour that delivers the complete Tibet experience — Everest, Manasarovar, and Kailash — and ends in Kathmandu rather than looping back to Lhasa.
Manasarovar Lake Motorcycle Tour
The Manasarovar Lake Motorcycle Tour is the most complete cross-border motorcycle journey across Tibet — a 13-day, 2,450-kilometer expedition that combines sacred Lake Manasarovar, Mount Kailash, the Mount Everest North Face, and the dramatic Himalayan southern foothills in a single linear route ending in Kathmandu.
This Manasarovar motorbike tour is purpose-built for pilgrims and adventure riders who want the spiritual climax of Tibet without the long return drive to Lhasa — and for those connecting their Tibet ride to onward travel in Nepal, Bhutan, or India through Kathmandu.
Begin in Lhasa with two full days of cultural acclimatization at the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Drepung Monastery. Complete vehicle handover and head west via the sacred Yamdrok Lake and Karola Glacier to Gyantse and Shigatse. Cross the Gyatso La Pass at 5,220 meters to reach the Mount Everest North Face at Rongbuk Monastery.
Continue west through Saga and the Yarlung Tsangpo source wetlands to sacred Lake Manasarovar — one of the four sacred lakes of Asia and the holiest body of water in Vajrayana Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, and Bon. Stay overnight in a luxury tent camp on the lake shore, witness sunrise and sunset over the sacred waters, then ride to Mount Kailash for darshan at the Kailash viewing platform.
Return east to Saga before turning south through the dramatic Gyirong Valley, descending from 4,640 meters to 2,800 meters in a single day through the Himalayan southern foothills, exiting Tibet at Gyirong Port and continuing by private transfer into Kathmandu.
