Our Nepal Tibet Bhutan tour is the most complete journey we have built. Eighteen days. Three countries. Every major Himalayan civilization in a single continuous route, entirely private, at the most unhurried pace we offer.

You begin in Nepal: the medieval courtyards of Kathmandu, the thousand-year-old brick squares of Bhaktapur, and the lake-and-mountain mornings of Pokhara, where Machhapuchhre reflects in water so still it looks painted.

You fly to Lhasa, then travel overland across the plateau: the Potala Palace, the turquoise shock of Yamdrok Lake, the fortress town of Gyantse, the Panchen Lama's seat at Shigatse, and the north face of Everest filling the windscreen on the descent from the Pang La.

You end in Bhutan: the Dochula Pass with its 108 white chortens on a ridge, Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers named Mother and Father, and the Tiger's Nest, where butter lamps have burned in a cliff-side monastery for over a thousand years.

The overland Tibet segment is what separates this route from every flight-only package. You watch Tibet change from the window of a private SUV: the plateau opens, the altitude climbs, the monasteries thin, and Everest's north face appears across a valley that has never had a traffic jam.
